Crust

I was following Evan and Larkin up the wash. They were following everyone else up the wash to the swimming hole. But before we had a chance to catch everybody, we found ourselves distracted by tadpoles and tidal pools, dragonflies and cracked mud. And my favorite part of the memory was Nate trammeling down the wash through the cracked mud and whooping like crazy. Ev & Lark figured it best, be careful, but not too careful.
